Good quality sheltered bays are important for tourism

Litter is a problem in some areas, but clean sites promote a responsible attitude

Litter on the sheltered shoreline consists of both seas bourne debris and litter discarded on the shore

Some inaccessable sites attract sea bourne debris and are difficult to clean

Two larger rivers, the Coquet and the Aln (pictured) flow through the AONB

Walking along the wide clean beaches in the AONB is a popular activity for visitors and residents
