Berwick Maltings

The Maltings is England's most northerly theatre and cinema. Their busy year round programme of events aims to entertain and inspire as many people in the regional as we possibly can. They offer the very best in film, comedy, theatre, children's shows, classical concerts, opera, dance, music and more. They also host regular classes in dance, music and drama, helping to engage, inspire and support young artists.

Swan Centre, Berwick

The centre is a large multi-purpose leisure facility that offers a range of services and activities available to the local community and visitors alike. Facilities include our popular swimming pool complete with flume, a contemporary gym, a large multi-use sports hall an all-weather outdoor pitch and softplay. Visitors and members can also relax in our café.

Pot-a-doodle do is a ceramic and glass craft centre with cafe and accomodation.

Grace Darling Museum 

The Grace Darling Museum in Bamburgh, Northumberland, commemorates the life of Victorian Britain's greatest heroine and the story of the wreck of the steamship SS Forfarshireon 7 September 1838. The RNLI Grace Darling Museum illustrates Grace’s upbringing and life on the lighthouse, the events of the rescue that propelled her into the limelight and the nature of that subsequent fame. Her story is told through personal items, including letters, family portraits and the famous coble. Atmospheric audio-visual interpretation and a stunning model of the Longstone lighthouse are also on offer.

A wealth of history, opulant state rooms and a dash of Harry Potter magic. Alnwick Castle has good facilities and plenty to keep you busy on a wet day.

Alnwick Playhouse

Alnwick Playhouse is a popular venue for theatre, film and music. It is firmly established as one of the leading small venues in the North of England. It is a wonderful and vibrant arts centre, and a remarkably strong and valuable part of the community

Bailiffgate Museum

Bailiffgate Museum and Gallery is a people’s museum, where fascinating stories of the past are told about the town and district of Alnwick. A historic building in the town’s Castle Quarter, which was previously a church, provides a calm and beautiful setting in which to celebrate our distinctive heritage, hold exhibitions and host events.

Barter Bookshop

Barter Bookshop is popular and unusual bookshop selling secondhand books within a former railway station. There are limited refreshments, childrens room with toys and comfortable seating with open fires in the winter.

Castle Mania

Wobble your way up rope bridges to slide down dragon’s tail. Dodge your way through the dungeon then ride on the cannon ball swings.
